Story
Ku in Chinese means bitter and ding means nail. This Kuding is hand-picked in Guangxi, China. The tea is hand-picked and then hand-rolled. These particular tea trees are tall evergreen trees. Their branches, leaves, roots, and fruits are all used as medicines. This tea has one very special characteristic…every cup just needs one or two leaves to brew. Kuding tea is known as the “longevity tea”. Its scientific name is Folium llicis Latifoliae and is actually considered an herb by many. Kuding tea is used in traditional Chinese medicinal tea and has a long history of use in folk medicine to treat common colds, headaches, red eyes, overheating of the body, and to stimulate digestion. It is also known for its detoxifying properties.
Description
The leaves are a dark green color that unroll when brewed slowly. The liquor is a medium to dark green color depending on your brew time. The taste changes several times in your mouth going from bitter to sweet, but leaving a refreshingly cool, sweet after taste in your mouth.
